National Chocolate Chip Day May 15
Welcome to May 15th on the National Day Calendar. Chocolate chips are so commonplace today, that its hard to imagine they werent invented until 1937. Thats when Ruth Graves Wakefield chopped up pieces of chocolate and added them to her cookie dough. Hoping to add a new spin on her baking, the cookies were a huge success. A few years later Nestle bought the recipe, and it has graced their packages of chocolate morsels ever since. On National Chocolate Chip Day, there is more than one recipe for sweet satisfaction.
